Project Overview
The Letters to Santa campaign was an annual holiday promotion created for KNNG FM to engage local families while driving website traffic and on-air interaction. Children were invited to submit letters to Santa through a custom landing page, with selected letters read during radio broadcasts. Every child who entered was automatically entered for a chance to win either the World’s Largest Stocking or a savings account, creating excitement throughout the holiday season.
The campaign was designed to create a seamless experience from print to digital to radio while keeping the entry process simple and family-friendly.

Design Highlights
One of the most enjoyable parts of this campaign was creating an original illustration featuring Santa inside the radio station reading children’s letters. The artwork tied the online experience directly to the on-air promotion and gave the campaign its own recognizable identity.
The A-frame banner featured a large QR code that enabled parents to quickly scan and submit a letter at sponsor locations, eliminating the need to type a website address.
Because the campaign involved children, I also included a privacy option on the submission form, allowing parents to choose whether their child’s name could be read during the radio broadcast.

Results
This campaign successfully combined print advertising, digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and live radio broadcasting into one cohesive holiday promotion. By making participation simple through QR codes and a mobile-friendly landing page, families could easily enter from anywhere. The addition of parental privacy controls helped ensure the contest remained family-friendly while encouraging broad community participation.
What I Learned
This project reinforced the importance of designing campaigns that are both engaging and easy to use. Small details—like QR codes that simplify participation and privacy options that build trust—can significantly improve the overall user experience. It also demonstrated how consistent branding across multiple platforms creates a stronger, more memorable campaign.
