Grandma’s Lime Jello
A sweet side salad that doubles as a dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg Family size Lime Jello mix
- 4 large marshmallows
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream whipped
- 2 cups pineapple juice
- 20 oz crushed pineapple drained
- 1 cup cottage cheese
Instructions
- Follow the directions on the jello as to how much hot water you need. Should be 2 cups.
- Bring that to a boil.
- Add Jello. Stir until dissolved. Do not add the cold water it calls for.
- Add the marshmallows and stir until they are dissolved.
- Put it in the fridge for 1-2 hours. DO NOT LET IT SOLIDIFY. It won’t mix properly then.
- Pull your syrupy jello out of the fridge Mix in the cottage cheese, pineapple (drained), and pineapple juice.
- Use your mixer to whip your heavy whipping cream. Approximately 5 minutes. You want it to have the consisitancy of whipped cream.
- Fold in the heavy whipping cream.
