My Plum Jam Maker Recipe

A quick and easy recipe for a small batch of plum jam.

Ingredients

  • 2⅔ Cups Crushed Plums
  • 3 tbsp. Pectin
  • ½ tsp. Butter
  • 3⅓ Cups Sugar

Instructions

  • Wash and Pit plums
  • Chop plums into nickel size pieces with scissors.
  • Crush plums with a potato masher.
  • Cook in pot at medium temperature for approximately 4 minutes. Stir frequently.
  • Add sugar while stirring. Cook until thickened and sugar is dissolved. Approximately 15-20 minutes.
  • Ladle into sanitized jars.
  • Water bath jars. Process for 10 minutes.
